About Us

Biscuits Doggie Daycare...

Serving Tacoma, Gig Harbor, University Place,

and Lakewood, WA

While attending Pacific Lutheran University, Nichole took a part time job at a nearby doggie daycare…

That's when she realized pursuing a career in the doggie daycare business was her dream. Growing up in a home that loved their furry family members, it was easy for Nichole to convince her family to consider an enterprise that would provide others a place they would feel comfortable taking their four-legged family members to - a "second home" that would love, care for, and look out for their dogs. The result of this endeavor was Biscuits! They opened their first 6th Ave location in May of 2015 and have since moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art, and much larger facility (conveniently located right next door!).

Here at Biscuits, we are proud of being a locally run family business. Nichole, James, Mindy, and many other dedicated Biscuits Team Members run the day-to-day operations, taking care of our most precious friends. Nichole's parents have been a part of Pierce County's small business community for over 30 years and are proud to be able to provide a service that allows people to bring their dogs into a safe, happy, force-free, and loving environment.

We would like to you to know a little about the team that makes it happen:

Nichole, CPACO, CCS

Born and raised in Lakewood, Washington, Nichole graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Being well-educated in everything "dog" is very important to Nichole - she attended the Northwest School of Canine Studies and became certified in Canine Studies in May of 2016 and became a Pet Tech Pet First Aid CPR Instructor the same year. Since then, Nichole has attended many seminars, taken multiple dog behavior courses, and has become the first person certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC) to operate a pet care facility in Washington State.

James

Born and raised is Lakewood, Washington, James enjoys working with his hands. His artistry encompasses stained glass, woods, and metals. James is a certified Diagnostic Health & Fitness Technician. He keeps the building running by taking care of all things maintenance!

Mindy

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Mindy graduated from Wilson High School. Mindy started working with dogs as a dog walker and sought a position that allowed her to spend more time with her four- legged friends. Mindy is now a manager here at Biscuits and a certified dog trainer through the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. Mindy's love of dogs, passion for learning, and vast knowledge in all things canine keeps our Biscuits pups safe, healthy, happy, and mentally stimulated!

We are proud of our group of young, dedicated individuals. They are absolutely invested in the wellbeing of every dog who comes into our care. To ensure our pups safety, all our staff are trained and current in Pet CPR and are well-versed in canine behavior and body language. Ongoing education is extremely important to the Biscuits Team. We also review and adapt our safety procedures on a regular basis. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to take care of your furry family members!
